With head quarters in Antioch, Exceed has its global presence in Turkey, Tunisia and India (Chennai).

We have openings in Chennai for the following position.

Position Title : Head of Construction, India
Division : Construction
Reports To : CEO

SCOPE:
This position will have full administrative and functional control on all ongoing real estate projects. He/she must head the overall operations and work together as a team with the Construction, Architectural and Project departments and is directly responsible for all trades on each project and the quality of the work performed. All aspects of performance must be consistent with the Operating Principles of the Company. He/She must oversee the operations of Construction division in India; coordinate with other departments to ensure that all systems are running optimally.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
 Construction Division profitability for Indian operations is the primary responsibility
 Resolve construction issues that may occur during the budgeting, planning, permit and construction phases of the project
 Ensure Indian projects are designed & built as per International Building Code standards, unless economics dictate (and are objectively documented) and/or the projects are being built for 3rd parties (i.e. Exceed controls less than 51% of the project’s ownership)
 Train the Indian construction division (and Exceed’s other real estate-related divisions) on U.S. design & construction standards
 Develop construction process with “checks & balances”
 Maximize benefit of technology’s effective deployment in construction
 Oversee bid & estimation divisions for Operations in India and U.S.
 Identify issues with operational systems as well as performance to maintain quality standards

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
 Must be able to head the team independently & be a team player.
 Must have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
 Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people who need to cooperate to achieve maximum efficiency & effectiveness.
 Must be familiar with a variety of field concepts, practices, and procedures. Must rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
 Knowledge of current and developing, methods, materials, and regulations in construction projects including PERT / CPM techniques. ( preferred )
 Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a verity of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
 Ability to work under constraints.


PERSONALITY ATTRIBUTES:
The candidate must be an upbeat individual with a team-oriented attitude, fast-paced approach, and ready to face challenging environment

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Have a degree in Construction Management or any degree in Civil with an experience of 15+ years in the field of Construction Management (High rise buildings). The ideal candidate could be an American or Indian who has exposure to the above skills and who is willing to relocate to Chennai (India).
